Whether to Syrup?

For anyone unfamiliar with Cockney Rhyming Slang a Syrup or ‘Syrup of Figs’ is a Wig, or more politically correct a hairpiece or toupe. For the record, Syrup of Figs is a very old fashioned laxative that is rarely seen or used these days. People who have experienced hair loss are often faced with a number of choices which include a hair transplant or a wig. We have discussed transplants in previous blogs but not wigs. Modern wigs are in fact very good and are getting increasingly difficult to tell from real hair, especially celebrity wigs on TV which are aided by very clever makeup.
