At Pro Hair Biosystems we work with a number of advisors and one f our advisors is a TV/movie hair and makeup artist based in New York regarding hair loss and balding. We are open minded to new ideas at Pro Hair Biosystems and our colleague has offered the following advice which we have included below and would be interested in learning of anyone’s experience of scalp massage in terms of successfully stimulating hair growth. Medical science believes that once a hair root is incapable of producing a hair follicle it effectively dies and cannot again produce a viable hair shaft. However these findings contradict this and claim that instead of actually dying, the hair root becomes completely dormant due… read more

It has been said on this blog and on a number of others, that hair loss products often work best as in combination, with people often using three or four products together therefore tackling the issue from a number of different directions. It is well reported that hair loss is caused by the hormone DHT in the scalp, causing a reduction in blood flow to the hair root. Therefore some shampoos and conditioners work by suppressing DHT in the scalp and others work by increasing blood flow, which is where ProFusion shampoo and conditioner are generally accept to fit. ProFusion shampoo and conditioner can be used with Regaine (Minoxidil) or Propecia (Finasteride), but we would like to hear your experiences… read more

Many thanks to everyone who completed one of our hair-loss surveys. We have been running two hair loss surveys in parallel, one which anyone considering purchasing ProFusion or just generally interested in hair-loss can take. We have also been conducting a survey of existing ProFusion users. The results are in. We are pleased to report that the most popular answer in our customer survey was to agree completely with each of the following statements “ProFusion was delivered quickly” “ProFusion was well packaged” “I find ProFusion pleasant to use” “I intend to reorder ProFusion” Additionally, nobody disagreed with any of the above. The most popular alternative product was “Minoxidil”, however more people are electing to use ProFusion as their only hair-loss treatment. We also… read more

Everyone knows that the “Shaken not Stirred” line is one of the archetype James Bond 007 lines much loved by everyone. On a personal note, I feel that the two latest James Bond movies with Daniel Craig have completely missed the point and have become “Hollywood Action Movies” and lack the laconic humour which typify a great Bond movie. But I digress! The actor who played the original James Bond from Dr No and From Russia with Love onwards is of course, Sean Connery. Although a great Bond, Connery did suffer from hair loss from a very early age and it is alleged that he wore hair pieces in all of the Bond movies from the very beginning. A few… read more

It is interesting that hair loss primarily affects the top of the head and the hair around the sides nearly always remains in a horseshoe shape. The resistance of this remaining hair to the effects of DHT is one of the bases of hair transplants, where this hair is transplanted from the side of the head to the top of the head where it grows. There have been great developments in hair transplants since the early days, when patients’ hair looked like it was growing in clumps like you would find on top of a doll’s head. Now individual hairs are transplanted with a much more natural effect. Pro Hair Biosystems is not in the business of hair transplants, in… read more
